California medicine

So, since I am staying here in California I decided that I need to start making some contacts for medical school--connections. My first is to begin volunteer work again at a hospital, which is going to seem really basic after working in the E.R. But I would like to volunteer at a children's hospital; I like to see all aspects of medicine.

I already did volunteer for 11 mo.s at La Rabida in Chicago (children's hospital), but La Rabida was only chronic conditions: asthma, sickle cell anemia, etc. It taught children how to live with their chronic conditions.
