this Good Friday

This Good Friday has been a bit troubling. I specifically switched my scheduled--initially I was scheduled to work 12 hours at the hospital--so I could focus on the Lord. I was planning to fast and pray. Then this a.m., workers arrived outside my apartment building and are working on the apartment directly above mine. It sounded like they were drilling or something, it was incredibly loud! It was Satan, because all this was happening when I was trying to read my Bible and pray in the privacy of my apartment.

I'm surprised how everyone goes on "business as usual." For example, the construction workers, totally unsaved pagans (and they were incredibly angry looking, too), show up and work with no acknowledgment that this is a Christian day of observance. Now that I left my apartment (the construction noise was giving me a headache. it was so annoying.), everywhere I go--the library, the post office, the store--is just a normal day.

I'm thinking, "The King of Kings died for us!!!!!" and nobody's paying attention or thinking this is a special day.
