another 2005 goal

another 2005 goal is to get myself into med school. I mean, really focus on getting this accomplished this year. I have been procrastinating. It's a big, scary task, and while I am pretty sure I want to be a doctor, it's difficult to get myself accepted because that is the jumping off point; once I start going to med school, I'm committed.

I really feel that this is the year and this is the time, the next several months to get this accomplished. I have fewer distractions this year, and like I said, I think now is my opportunity.

When I think about medicine, it's brings up the issue of "calling", not just going to medical school to get a job when I'm finished. I guess people could be called to anything; be a pastor, a lawyer, a teacher, a wife. It's not so much calling for me, as leading. There are certain things I know, without a doubt, I could not do, yet because of certain aptitudes and interests I have, I am lead into medicine. Plus, I am a compassionate person.
